Born in Wethersfield, graduate of Wethersfield High, and New England Institute of Boston, Mass.
Moved to Glastonbury in 1969 and opened the Glastonbury Funeral Home. Gil has been a member of Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the business man of the year from the chamber. He was appointed to the first commission of ageing and served many years as the chair; appointed to fill a vacancy on the Fire Commision in the mid 80 and later ran and was elected to the commission and has served over 20 years, most of which time as chairman.
He is a past president of Glastonbury Rotary, and has been a member of the c lub, and member for over 40 years.
Gil has a wife Rhoda, three daughters; Tracey, Sharon Hansen, and Penny Jerr, and 4 grandchildren. He enjoys his Rhode Island home as well as his Glastonbury home.
