Whit Osgood

I am pleased to be running for re-election to the Town Council together with an excellent, diverse and well qualified slate of Republican candidates.  My experience on the Council, my prior experience on the Town Planning and Zoning Commission and my professional experience in land use planning, finance, banking and commercial real estate are significant in what I bring to serving on the Town Council and will continue to be important as we strive to minimize tax increases, while preserving and improving the quality of Town services and education.

We are fortunate in Glastonbury that we have an excellent education system which I will continue to support.  For both the Town and Education budgets we must continue to maintain the quality of programs and services, while being mindful of the fact that local taxes can not increase faster than incomes without dire consequences. We must continue to promote sound development such as the medical complex on Western Boulevard that contributes to our local tax base, while assuring the preservation of farms and open space consistent with our plan of development.  I look forward to continuing to serve the Town and would appreciate your vote for the Republican slate on November 7th.
